spartanrace:

On the eve of the Boston Marathon, we at Spartan Race, along with the country, pay tribute to all the victims and survivors of last year’s attack.
Pictured are athletes and citizens who lived through the events and won’t let tragedy grind them to a halt. This series shot by Robert X. Fogerty for Dear World captures the resilience of those affected that can’t be dampened. Please visit their site to learn more about these people’s stories and pay tribute.

Boston is as strong as community as the world has. We are proud to be part of it. On Marathon Monday, we will be there and along with the rest of the world, we will be watching a city recover as one.

Remember

lumpy-pizza-princess:

You are here.
You are important.
You matter.

Don’t ever forget it.

You are a positive force on this earth.
You are wanted and needed.
The universe would not be the same without you.

"Each and every one of us has the capacity to be an oppressor. I want to encourage each and everyone of us to interrogate how we might be an oppressor and how we might be able to become liberators for ourselves and for each other."

A little table to how to get rid of all that negative self-talk. We have to learn look at the good in situations too, instead of dwelling on things we can’t change- because you know what? We may not be able to change what is happening but we CAN change how we view it!

Happiness begins with you. Not with your relationship, your friends, or your job. But with you.

I have to remind myself sometimes that even when I feel like I don’t matter, I do. We get so blinded by other people’s light that we forget to enjoy our own. Your stars are just as bright, important and lovely. We are all flawed. We are all trying. We all have work to do. Remember your worth and acknowledge your hard work thus far.
